C.A. - History GCSE/16+ Academic Scholarship

Before V began working with C.A he was on track to get a Grade 4 in History GCSE. CA was aiming for a Grade 7 and wanted to also win a 16+ scholarship to Rugby School. After tuition with V, CA achieved a Grade 9 in History GCSE and a scholarship to Rugby School.

Teacher and Student

N.J. - English Language GCSE

N.J is severely dyslexic and before working with V had received a Grade  3 in school mock exams. After working closely with N.J she went on to achieve a Grade 7 in her actual GCSE exam.

Elementary Art Class

E.F. - KS2 SATS

Before working with V, E.F had been scoring poorly on SATs English papers and had begun to stop working in class. After working with V  she went onto score 113 and 117 in her English papers and won the school prize for writing. 

High School Student

K.C. - Business Studies GCSE

K began Year 11 on a grade 5 in Business Studies and was working towards a target of Grade 6. After working with V between September and June, K gained a grade 8, which ensured that he was able to take up his place in the sixth form at the local grammar school.

Female Student

H.L. English Language GCSE

H arrived in the UK in Year 7. She gained a grade 5 at school but needed a grade 7 to apply to medical school. Her school, on paper an outstanding school, refused to teach her for her re-take as she was already a grade 5. They also refused her permission to take mock exams, despite the fact that she was in the school sixth form. After working with V for less than a year, H gained a grade 7 in her exams.

E.K. Year 5

E began year 5 on the reading stage for year 3 students. He was meeting expectations in Maths but not in English. Within 3 months of working with V, E was moved to the extension level on reading (three levels of progress) and his year 5 report stated that he was now meeting expected progress in English and exceeding expected progress in Maths.
