I am an award-winning tutor specialising in working with young people who are underachieving in SATS, GCSEs, A-Levels, and University Entrance.
I am willing to do unlimited prep for each lesson I teach. I offer a service entirely tailored to the individual needs of each student I tutor. My approach is based upon observation and assessment of each child that I teach.

As a currently serving teacher, I am always fully up to date with the latest methodologies.

​V is an experienced teacher who has won an award from Oxford University for her teaching expertise. In addition, she holds a teaching qualifictaion for Creative Writing from Cambridge University.
A is an experienced educationalist, teacher and tutor who has worked in comprehensive schools and grammar schools across the country. As well as a PGCE, A also holds a post graduate certificate in teaching.

Our tutors specialise in UCAS statements and interview training. Several students have taken up university places at Oxford, Durham, Warwick, Leeds, York and other top universities. Several students have gained places at medical school. Many adults undertaking creative writing workshops have gone on to see work published.

Teaching Experience
V
I have decades of teaching experience in a range of schools including non-selective state schools, grammar schools, independent schools, and public schools. I update my relevant experience annually. I deliver whole class sessions in state primary and secondary schools and undertake training.
​A published writer myself, I have taught writing to Post-Graduate Students at Warwick University and at a variety of writing retreats.
I have had educational research published and published resources for teachers. I have edited a Warwick University publication, copy for websites and work for other published writers.
I have been an examiner for KS2 SATs, English Language and English Literature GCSEs, and am a trained Arts Award Assessor.
Throughout my career I have been through many OFSTED inspections and have always performed very well - this is an external badge of success.

I am a very experienced and succesful teacher and tutor. I have worked in a range of schools including non-selective state schools and grammar schools. I have a great understanding of how independent schools, and public schools work.

As a serving teacher, I am inspected, montiored and trained continuously. As part of my school role, I deliver training to other staff.
​In addition to the government training I recieve, I also pay to attend training courses during the school holidays, for example, this year I studied writing with Cambridge University.
I have had educational reviews published. I have also delivered training sessions to other teachers in other schools.
I have been an examiner for KS2 SATs, English Language GCSE, and am a trained TEEP teacher.
I am popular with my students and at school have lead many highly succesful whole school activities such as Spelling Bees, Debating Teams and Poetry Clubs. I am currently the school lead for a climate change project, partnered with a well known T.V. company.
